Trailer Park of Terror

A trailer park is basically the home of trashy. Leading a cheap life will indeed make you trashy soon enough. In this movie, we are introduced to some of the dirtiest trailer park stereotypes. There is the old prostitutes, the outdoor butcher and his tobacco, the obese woman whose life revolves around meat, the hillbilly rocker, the corrupted and pervert sheriff, the asian masseuse, the dumb bully and more. Most of these also look as if they have no bath in their trailer. There is also pretty and unlucky Norma. She dreams of getting out of this trashy place and be loved for who she is. When her chance to make her dream come true fails, she has an encounter with a smoke pissing devil who will change all. Two decades later a group of troubled teens (a gothic slut, a coke addict, a gay boy, a shoplifter, another bully and another slut all addicted to sex) and a pastor are stranded in the middle of nowhere after a road accident during a storm. With no signal on their cellphones, they head to the same nearby trailer park where the trashy fun begins. The trailer park residents are now undead psycopath receiving orders from their queen Norma and killing to the sound of some amazing rockabilly music. For a fun trashy movie, this is one of your best bet. No one can resist Norma.

God's Girls

Fear not, this is not a post about religion. God's Girls are naked tattooed chicks on the internet who make it impossible for you to look away. Why you should join it? Because the girls are amazingly sexy (maybe not really that trashy, but I would say that porn and tattoos fit in there)and they will talk to you. The community is great and welcoming and everyone can post their naughty bits.

Zombie Strippers

Zombie Strippers is a mix of two of my favorite things. Zombies and Strippers. Both of which are trashy. Isn't this a great combination? The B-horror movie is going to make you feel as if you were at the strip club, but with the comfort of your place. Who said rotting chicks were gross? Oh and did I mention that Jenna Jameson is in it?

Martin Abel a Trashy Illustrator

I randomly discovered the artist Martin Abel last week and fell in love with his art. Not only it is professional and extremely eye candy, most of the subjects he depicts are especially trashy, making it a perfect topic for this blog. Martin Abel is an australian illustrator specialized in Pinup girls, but who also creates comics and works with magazine. Speaking of magazines, he recently worked for the Official Xbox Magazine in the United States. He has a lot of great art to sell on his website and he even started doing some personal commisions, so if you want a custom made Martin Abel piece to embellish your trashy apartment, you should definitely check his page to contact him. I guess you probably cannot wait to see some of his stuff now, so I will not make you wait any longer.

My Definition of Trashy

Trashy can have more than one meaning and it can be confusing for someone skimming through the page without reading what I want to mean when I call something trashy. When I myself googled for trashy stuff, I often get things that are too close to the literal meaning of trashy, which is something that is not worth reading/watching/listening/... and that is good for trash. Let me reassure you, that is not what I want to dedicate a whole blog to. No, my definition of trashy is more like anything dirty. I would say most junkies are trashy, puking n yourself is trashy, soiled underwear are trashy, nicotine stains are trashy, cockroaches are trashy, etc. You get the point. These things fascinate me in a way and are definitely worth checking out in forms of books, movies, music, pictures and even real life events. I hope I can get you interested in this kind of stuff as well. A late introduction is better than not at all.

Prey for Rock & Roll

Let's talk about one of my favorite movie. Prey for Rock & Roll is a movie about rock chicks starring Gina Gershon, Drea de Matteo, Lori Petty, Shelly Cole and Marc Blucas. It was first a play by Cheri Lovedog and then made into a movie. Based on her life as the leader of a band and a tattoo artist, Lovedog introduces us to Jacki; a musician dying to be famous and realising that she is getting older. What is trashy in this movie? Well let me tell you it will not deceive you. This movie features pure dirty rock, drug addicts, alcoholics, trashy dates, smokers, mention of pee and fecal matter, peeing on stuff, tattoos (and prison tattoos), one trashy revenge plan, old band tshirts, vomit, Texas Terri, blowjobs in the toilets, hairy armpits. . . See for yourself:





Other interesting facts about this movie: Joan Jett taught Gina Gershon how to play the guitar for the movie and she actually does sing in it. A soundtrack was made from all the songs and it is actually pretty good, especially since you will have all of them stuck in your head for a while after watching it. Cheri Lovedog also really owns a tattoo parlour, so if you are in the Santa Cruz area and want to get tattooed by one of the best place around, you can always stop by Lovedog Tattoos and get tattooed by her.

Notes of a Dirty Old Man

Someone recommended me this book by Charles Bukowski as a trashy read. To be honnest with you, I have not started reading this book, nor did I buy it yet. I am saving my money for a trashy tattoo which is something I will discuss in another post. Notes of a Dirty Old Man is a collection of short stories Bukowski wrote for a column in a L.A. newspaper called "Open City". These short stories relate his life as a homeless person in the streets of the City of Angels. If the title was not trashy enough for you, its content is like the bible of anything trashy. Tales of drinking, fights, drugs, sex, whores and everything else; all told with a lot of cursing and raw honesty. Researching about this book, I learned that it affected greatly people and how they see life. Like us, who are fascinated with the trashy lifestyle, while reading Notes of a Dirty Old Man people were able to find the beauty in all this. The beauty that takes time to appreciate, but that is far more interesting than the fake beauty the society is trying to impose on us.
